Viewers of This Morning on ITV will have noticed their new sofa for Autumn, were loving it here, well not as much as we are loving Clover the new Guide dog puppy that they’re looking after for the next year.
The clocks went back this weekend so the nights are drawing in. We decided to use the ‘This Morning’ sofa for inspiration for our latest moodboard.
Following National Wool week earlier this month, wool is big news in interiors. Durable, flame retardent, versatile and sustainable, (sheep produce a new fleece every year) wool has alot going for it. Osborne & Little, Sanderson and Abraham Moon are amongst those producing great value 100% wool fabric in plains and plaids and with around 30,000 rub counts makes them a great choice for upholstery. At an even more luxurious end of the market Evitavonni have some lovely Mohair fabric with an amazing 100,000 rub counts in their trademark palette of greys, taupes and neutrals . Dress the sofa with a selection of oranges, and textures. Velvet and textured velvets are my pick. Available in all price points from the amazing and beautiful shades of Heavenly velvet from Villa Nova to the luxurious silk velvets from Chase Erwin, the burnt orange is my favourite and a winning colour for this winter. Add the finishing touches to the cushions with trimmings from Romo. I love the Tivoli pom pom braid in particular. Finally cosy up with a soft wool or mohair throw from Bronte Moon, available in a myriad of colours. Sofa all finished sit back and wait for the cosy winter nights.
